Restaurant-Style Dining

steak, baked potato, and green beans with a dessert of apple pie a-la-mode.

At Farmington Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center we believe in the freedom to choose what you would like to eat, and the right to be provided with a diet that meets your healthcare needs. Our daily menus are developed at a corporate level by a registered dietician.

Upon admission, our dietary manager will do an assessment of your physician’s ordered diet, diagnoses, medications, and recent labs. We will use this as a tool, along with your input to develop a plan of care that best meets your needs. Resident allergies, likes and dislikes will be discussed so you will have a clear understanding of the options that are available.

Breakfast

Breakfast always includes:

  • Eggs
  • Meat
  • Choice of beverage
  • Various bread and pastries

We will also include special items such as:

  • Pancakes
  • Waffles
  • Biscuits and gravy

When you come into the dining room for breakfast in the morning, a staff member will bring your morning coffee and take your order.

Lunch

After breakfast, staff circulates the building with the daily lunch menu, offering residents two different choices for a healthy lunch. If neither choice suits you, don’t worry! There is a menu that can be ordered from that has choices ranging from hamburgers and fries, tenderloin or steak, and baked potato. There is also a salad bar available every day at lunchtime with a wide range of choices for you to enjoy.

Dinner

Dinner runs somewhat the same as lunch, in that you have 2 healthy choices and the freedom to order from the menu as well. Dessert at FCM ranges from Chocolate pie to a healthier fruit cup.

We understand that some residents need special diets or consistency to meet their needs. Our staff is trained to recognize the importance of these diversities and provide accordingly. If a resident is unable to make choices when it comes to meals, the staff is there to assist them or a family member may work with the dietary manager to plan meal choices for the upcoming weeks. We strongly believe that our residents should have the same quality and choice as they would if they were able to cook for themselves.
