In 1978 Dr. James Reed and a few other local investors opened what was then called, Farmington Center. Dr. Reed stated many times that the idea for this project was to ensure that the local people of Farmington and the surrounding communities had a safe and close place to home to go to for rehab and long term care. Before Dr. Reed passed, he stayed with us as a patient in our Rehab Unit. He relayed his approval of our home to the administrator one day, stating ” I never thought my dream could be so good, kid, don’t change a thing!”

At FCM we continue to honor Dr. Reed’s wishes by doing our best to care for our local families and involving ourselves in the community. As a facility, we are members of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, The Farmington Moose Lodge, and the local Rotary Club.

We strive to be involved in community events as much as possible including the annual Christmas Walk, Small Business Saturday, local meetings of the council, and so on. If you have a community event that you would like us to help with please contact: Alexis Allard – Director of Admissions and Marketing at: (309) 224-5070 or email at
